Sunday’s Obituary~B. N. Stuckey, Jr.


Benjamin Nelson Stuckey, Jr, was a son of Benjamin Nelson Stuckey, Sr, and Eliza Ann Davis Stuckey.
Eliza Ann Davis Stuckey is my  1st Cousin 4 times removed.

DEATH OF B. N. STUCKEY
Estimable Citizen of Williamsburg County Passes Away
Kingstree, Nov. 12.-Special; B. N. Stuckey one of the five county commissioners of Williamsburg, and a most successful and highly estimable citizen of the Nesmith section, died Saturday afternoon at an infirmary in Florence, and was buried at the Indiantown Presbyterian Church Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
Mr. Stuckey came to Williamsburg County some years ago from Lee County of purchased a small farm. He has been successful to a marked degree as since locating in the Nesmith he has accumulated considerable property by hard work and thrift, and was regarded as one of the County’s most substantial citizens. He was a member of the Indiantown Presbyterian Church and funeral services were conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Mr. Prichett.
The deceased is survived by a wife and six young children, also a number brothers, who are located in various parts of the state. Mr. Stuckey was about 40 years of age.

B. N. Stuckey was born August 4, 1875 in Darlington County, SC. He married  Elizabeth Vermelle. B. N. Stuckey died November 9, 1918 in Florence, South Carolina.
