P. H.  BROCK DIES
Former Resident of This State Dies in Charlotte
P. H. Brock,  father Mrs. W. W. Coker of this city, died in Charlotte yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, after a short illness. Mr. Brock was 70 years of age,  and was a former resident of this State living for a number years at Cheraw, and had been living at Charlotte since his retirement from business activities. Funeral services will be held at Cheraw this afternoon at 4 o’clock.

Mr. Brock is survived by six children, as follows Capt. W. T. Brock of Camp Lee, Petersburg, Va.; Dr. Alva Brock of Charlotte, Mrs. W. H. Barkley, Misses Constance and Inez Brock of Charlotte and Mrs. W. W. Coker of this city. Capt. Brock, son of the deceased, was at one time the assistant adjutant Inspector General of this state.

Peter was twice married. Peter and his first wife, Mary Ellen Lyles, had 11 children; ten of which lived to adulthood. After Mary’s death he married Josephine L. Brown. They had no known children. Peter and Josephine were married about 1903 when Peter’s youngest daughter Constance was approximately ten years old.

Peter Haley Brock is my 1st Cousin three times removed.
