                                                            W. J. Rivers

William James Rivers, the oldest son, was granted Letters of administration on the estate.
On 24 August 1878, J. W. McBride, D. R. Davis and Repsey Tucker were appointed by the Courts to appraise the personal estate of Frederick C. Rivers.

The estate inventory and purchasers of the various items is very interesting. Buyers consisted of children and local friends and family.

The most interesting nugget in this probate folder is the date of death of 24 June 1878. I wonder where the Oct 1879 engraved on the Tombstone came from?
