Transcription:

Harriett Sellers + Others to John D. Douglass Deed
This Indenture made the 14th day of January one thousand Eight hundred and Seventy between Harriet Sellers, Sarah Sellers Hardy Sellers Phillip Sellers and wife Ann and Duncan Douglass and wife Lucy of the State of South Carolina and in the County of Chesterfield of first apt and John D, Douglas of the State and County aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty Dollars to be paid by the said John Douglas of the second part hath bargained and Sold and by these presents doth grant and convey to the said John Douglass of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying in the State of South Carolina, and in the County of Chesterfield which is known and described as follows to wit: Known as the Estate lands of Elijah Sellers lying on Bear Creek  bounded on the North by the Estate lands of John Smith East by lands of Archibald Smith South West by lands of Isaac Swinney and William Massey containing  Seventy Six acres more or less, together with all and Singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances and all the Estate Title interest of the said parties aforesaid of the first part doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said John Douglass of the second part that the said parties aforesaid of the first part is the lawful owners of the premises above granted and seized thereof in fee simple absolute and that they will warrant and defend the above granted premises in free and peaceful possession of the said John Douglass of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals this 14th day of January one thousand Eight hundred and Seventy.
