Today we will do something different. We will create a "word cloud" on Wordle.net to display the top 30+ surnames in my database. All of these surnames are connected in some fashion either to me or my wife's family.
The Wordle Homepage (http://www.wordle.net) states that this program is a toy for creating "word clouds" and that anything you create is yours to keep.
You can point it to a blog or you can create your own list of names, places, events, etc; paste them into the program and create your "word cloud." It can then be printed out or saved to a galley.
If you want to have some fun; give Wordle a try. Don't forget the "randomize" button when your display come up; click on it and see the changes it makes. It can be clicked as long as you like; but if you see a pattern you like either save it or print it; there is no back button.
