Amanda Rivers Brown was born 19 February 1857[1] in Mississippi to Henry Epps Brown and Frances A.  "Fannie" Shelton.

On 25 July 1887, Amanda Rivers Brown and John J. Vogel were married in Miller County, Arkansas.[2] They had six children, 4 daughters and 2 sons.

By the 1900 Census, John & Amanda were divorced.[3] She is listed in the 1900 Census as a Widower. However, that’s not the full story because in 1903 there is another marriage for John J. Vogel to Lela Ramsey .

Amanda Rivers Brown Vogel never remarried and died on 2 September 1934 at the age of seventy-seven (77) years. She was buried in the Rondo Cemetery, Rondo, Miller Co. Arkansas.[4]
