Mrs. Martha Ann Moody Brown Dies

Mrs. Martha Ann Moody Brown, 82, route 3, wife of the late N. B. Brown, died in a local hospital at 11:30 yesterday morning, following a two-week illness.
Born August 17, 1866 in Calhoun county to Tom and Martha Lambert Moody, she moved to Union county at the age of six and had lived here all her life.
She was a member of the Union Baptist church and is survived by four sons, E. M., A. L. and Bill Brown of El Dorado, and Grady T. Brown,Waldo; one daughter Miss Susie Brown of El Dorado; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her body will remain at the home until time for services to be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Sam Reeves officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ed Harris.
Active pallbearers will be Ed Baker, Ed Doss, Louie Obarr, Henry G. West, Julius Miller, Milton Snodgrass, Burney Wilson, Grover Pratt and Grady Wooley.
Burial will follow in the Shady Grove cemetery under the directions of the Rumph Mortuary.

Martha Ann Moody was the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte “Nap” Brown, the son of Epps Rivers Brown and Dorinda Adair. She died 1 August 1949 in Union County Arkansas.

Martha Ann, AKA “Missie” was the daughter of Tom Moody and Martha Lambeth.

Napoleon Bonaparte “Nap” Brown, is my 2nd cousin 4 times removed.
