Sarah Ellen White Lee

Sarah Ellen White was the daughter of Richmond White and Ann Parsons. She was the baby of the family with 5 older brothers and 2 older sisters.
Sarah married W. H. White according to her Civil War pension (Alabama) application and to that union one son, Thomas Anson White was born.
No information on this marriage and union exists beyond what Sarah Ellen revealed in her Widow’s pension application. 2
Sarah Ellen married Samuel William Lee about 1888 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. Shortly after their marriage Samuel and Sarah Ellen migrated to Alabama.
To this union 2 additional children were born:
- Mary Addie Lee, b. 24 June 1890
- Samuel Homer Lee, b. Jan 1899
Her husband, Samuel William passed away on 17 June 1915 at age 74 and Sarah moved in with her son. Sarah died 20 July 1927.*

Charles are you related to Sarah Ellen White Lee? My GG grandfather, Thomas Anson (White) Lee is Sarah Ellen White Lee's son by William Holmes White,(`1850-1888/9). She then married Samuel William Lee (still in SC) around 1888/9 and they eventually moved to Winston/Marion County, AL. Thomas Anson (White) Lee was adopted by Samuel William Lee. They had a daughter, Mary C. Addie (Lee) West and Samuel Homer Lee (half siblings to Thomas Anson (White) Lee. Just wonder if you have any links to info on William Holmes White. It appears that initially my link is primarily to the Whites, but I've recently found that I also appear to have some DNA linkage to the Samuel William Lee line as well as an older link to Wyatt Branch Lee. Hoping you might have info that will help in following my lines of ancestry. Robert Harold Lee

DeleteJust wondered who your ancestors related to Sarah Ellen White White Lee are? IE., I was trying to find your relatives from SEWWL's siblings. To be a first cousin 1-3X removed would mean that your GGG Gparent would likely be a sibling to SEWWL. Unfortunately trying to see other relatives of SEWWL requires looking at each sibling, sibling's children,and so on down the line. Will keep trying to find the connections here. ;-)
Sarah Ellen White parents are Richmond White and Anne Parsons; Anne Parson parents are Abington Parsons and his wife Mary. Abington Parsons and Mary are my 3rd Great Grandparents.
