Isaac Hurst

b. 1804

d. 30 Sept 1884

In the 1850 Census, Isaac Hurst reported that he was 46 years of age making his birth year to be 1804. The tombstone above shows that he died at, age 74, Thus a birth year of 1810. The tombstone also shows that he died on 31 September 1884 and we all know that September only has 30 days.^{1 2}

Isaac Hurst was twice married. He married fist, Henrietta “Ritta” Rivers abt 1825 thus providing support for an 1804 birth year. This marriage year is based on the birth of their first child, Sarah Ann on 10 March 1826.  Isaac & Ritta had 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters. She died  15 Aug 1865 at age 60. ^{3 4}

Isaac next married Sarah Ann “Sally” (LNU) about 1865/66. One daughter was born to this union. Isaac died on 30 September 1884 and Sally died  3 April 1892. ^{5 6 7}
