Zilphia Ann Sellers was born on 14 November 1847 to Thomas Hardy Sellers and his wife, Elizabeth Hancock. Zilphia Ann was the 4th child of eleven children born to Thomas and Elizabeth. She had 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
At the age of thirty-one Zilphia Ann married Henry J. Hendrick in 1878. To this union were born 6 children of which 5 survived. The 1900 Census shows these 5 children to be - Willie, Mary E, Norman, Annie and Lou.
After fifty years of marriage Zilphia Ann lost her husband, Henry in Jan 1929. She survived another twelve years passing away at the age of 93 due to a cerebral hemorrhage on 29 April 1941. Zilphia Ann and Henry are buried in the Gulledge Family cemetery,
Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
