Reuben George Hiram Huneycutt was born 2 May 1798 in Montgomery County, NC, a son of Drury Huneycutt and his wife Charity. He married Cynthia [LNU] about 1815 give or take a few years. The estate file listed 11 children; 5 sons and 6 daughters, all named below.

To The Sheriff of said county you are hereby commanded to make known to Elizer and her husband Isaac S. Harvell – Jinsey and her husband Ervin Kizer Caroline and her husband Wm. Crayton Alfred Huneycutt Ransom Huneycutt, Drewery Huneycutt and Wesley Huneycutt, you are further command to make known to Sarah Huneycutt, Rebecca Huneycutt, Hester Huneycutt, and Isiah Huneycutt, by their next friend, William Crayton heirs at law of Reuben Huneycutt to be and appear before the Judge of our next Superior Court of Law to be held for Said County at Albemarle on the 1^st Monday in September next and show cause if any why Dower shall not be issue granted to Cynthia Huneycutt widow of Reuben Huneycutt, in the real estate of Sd. dec’d have you then and there writ Witnefs Edmund F. Lilly Clerk of our said court at office the 1^st Monday in March 1849.
