This would be the second marriage for both Beadie and her new suitor, Darling Ephraim. Beadie’s husband, Nathan T. Starnes had passed away 2 years and 3 months earlier on 24 December 1891. Darling Ephraim’ wife, Lunda Manuel, had died on 18 Jul 1893. just 8 1/2 months earlier.

Darling’s 4 children and Beadie’ only child would create a blended family of three daughters and 2 sons.

D. E. Huneycutt Marriage

Beadie Huneycutt Starnes Huneycutt daughter of Marcus Huneycutt and Charity Dry died between 1900 and 1905. I have not found a record of her death but a through search has not yet been completed.

What I do know is that on 6 June 1900 Darling E. Huneycutt and his wife Beada Huneycutt were enumerated in the 1900 Census for Almond, Stanly County, NC, Page: 4A/182 (stamped); Line 29, Dwelling 56, Family 57.

Then on 30 March 1905 Darling E. Huneycutt (age 64)  married Annie Whitley (age 43) in Stanly County, NC.

Therefore, Beada Huneycutt most likely died between 6 June 1900 and 30 March 1905.

Beada Huneycutt is my 2nd Great Aunt.

  1. It's never to late; but, as a farmer with 3 children under the age of 12 he had to find a wife.
