John William Purvis, Sr. is my Grand Uncle. In my teenage years we lived on a 500 acres farm about 2 to 3 miles Northeast of Morven, Anson County NC.

Grand Uncle John and Aunt Nancy lived within the city limits of the Morven township.  On many a trip to town with my Dad, he would stop by and see his Uncle John and Aunt Nancy.

John William and his wife Nancy are buried in the Morven Cemetery, Morven, Anson County, North Carolina.
