It’s Family Time~Phillip and Mary Gulledge Sellers

It's Family Time
Phillip Sellers, Jr. son of Phillip Sellers Sr. and his wife Mary [LNU] was born about 1795 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. He was their 4th child. Phillip Jr. had 8 brothers and no known sisters. 

In the mid-1820’s, Phillip Sellers, Jr. married Mary E. ‘Polly’ Gulledge, daughter of the Rev. Joel Gulledge and his wife Zilphia Huntley.  To this union were born 5 children; 2 daughters and 3 sons. 

Phillip was a farmer in Chesterfield and Anson County and left his Widow, Mary, a farm of two hundred and sixty eight (268) acres. 
 
Phillip died sometime before 1850. His wife, Mary passed away on 31 August 1875. She left a Will naming her children and how the property was to be divided.

Philip Sellers and Mary E. Gulledge had the following children:
 
i. Mary Frances Sellers, born 1824, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married James Rex Moore Jr., abt 1846; died 1875.
ii. Phillip A. Sellers, born abt 1829, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Viny Phillips, 8 Mar 1860, Anson County, North Carolina; died 10 Aug 1862 in the Civil War at Petersburg, Virginia.
iii. Joel Sellers, born Jun 1831, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Rachel Phillips, 1865, Anson County, North Carolina; died bef 15 Jul 1912, Anson County, North Carolina.
iv. Elijah Sellers was born in 1832 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. Killed at South Mountain, Maryland, September 14, 1862.
v. Martha E. Sellers, born 15 Oct 1837, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Robert Alexander Moore, 1859; died 11 Jan 1916, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

Phillip Sellers, Jr. is my 1st Cousin 4 times removed.
