Amanuensis Monday~Last Will and Testament of Ann (Baldwin) McFarland, 1866.

Today’s subject is the Last Will and Testament of Ann (Baldwin) McFarland, 1866.1

WILL, Ann McFarland
Transcription:
State of South Carolina}
Chesterfield District} In the name of God Amen.
Know all men by these presents that I Ann McFarland of the Chesterfield District and state of South Carolina, being of sound but waning mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament.
1. I give and bequeath to my son McLean McFarland all of my land and all of my house hold furniture with all the rest and residue of my property.
2. I ordain and appoint my son McLean McFarland as executor of this my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnefses named below, this 8th day of May in the year of our Lord 1866.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Ann McFarland as and for her last will and testament in presence of us, who, at her request, and in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

Annie [Baldwin] McFarland died between 8 May 1866 (the day she signed this Will) and 1 October 1866 (day her will was presented by McLean McFarland to the Probate Court).2
