Martin, son of Peter Dry and Hettie Elizabeth A. Teter was born 22 May 1820 making him 36 years old when he married Mary Jane McCullums, age 20, on that May day in 1856. The parents of Mary Jane McCullums are not known at this time.
John Martin and Mary Ann would raise a family of 4 children (two sons and two daughters) that lived to adulthood. One son died young.
