It’s Family Time~Roland R. Sellers
Roland R. Sellers, a son of Roland Sellers and Margaret Eddins was born in 1821 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
On 25 December 1844, at the age if 23, Roland married the widow of Thomas Brooks, a young lady by the name of Sarah Pratt Brooks, daughter of Samuel Pratt and Clarinda Ann Teal of Anson County, North Carolina.
Roland and Sarah had two known children:
i. William A. D. Sellers was born about 1849 in Morven, Anson, North Carolina. William A. D. Sellers apparently died before reaching the age of 10; he was listed in the 1850 census, but not in the 1860 census records.

ii. Sarah Elizabeth Sellers was born about 1851 in Anson County, North Carolina. No further record of Sarah Elizabeth has been found.
When the Civil War broke out in January 1861, Roland left his farm and joined other Anson County boys serving with Company "K", 26th NC Regiment. Unfortunately, Roland did not return from the War. He was wounded in the intestines near Savannah, Georgia, on December 10, 1864. and passed away on 13 December 1864. He is buried in the Laurel Grove Cemetery (North); Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.

Roland’s wife, Sarah Pratt Brooks Sellers, passed away on 23 Nov 1871 in Anson County. No tombstone has been found marking her resting place.
Roland R. Sellers is my 1st Cousin 4 times removed.
