John N. Dry, son of Johann Martin Dry and Catherine Keppel was united in Holy Matrimony with Sophie Barrier on 30 April 1836, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.



The parents of Sophie Barrier are unknown.

John and Sophie had three known children:

• John W. DRY, b. abt 1835
• William  R. DRY, b. abt 1836
• Mary Matheus DRY, b. abt. 1846

John and Sophie have not been found after the 1860 census. In 1860, they were living in  Big Bottom, Independence, Arkansas.

John W. Dry was still at home with his parents. William R. was not enumerated with his parents.
No additional information on any of these family members has been found after 1860.
