Charles Edwin Powell was the son of Charles Arnold Powell and Mary Gandy. He was the Grandson of Richard Thompson Powell.
Charles Edwin Powell married Margaret S. Burch, daughter of Joseph Samuel Burch and Eugenia Haseltine Sinclair. They had one son, Edwin Sinclair Powell. Edwin Sinclair Powell was listed in the 1946 edition of Who’s Who in American Education and was widely noted for his photography.
