Treasure Chest Thursday~Marriage of John Purvis

About 1818 many families in Chesterfield County, South Carolina migrated to the open lands of Alabama and Mississippi. Among those leaving was John Purvis, son of James F. Purvis.
By 1819, they had traveled to Clarke County, Alabama. Here on 14 December 1819, John Purvis married Mary Parks.
