Treasure Chest Thursday~1817 Marriage in Alabama Territory

Robert Dunnam, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Davis migrated from Marion County, South Carolina about 1811

Mary Ann Davis was the daughter of Benjamin Davis, Sr. and Rachel Port.

A short time after arriving in Baldwin County, Alabama, Robert Dunnam passed away about or shortly before 9 February 1813. At the time of his death there were still many of his 10 children living it home.

Mary Ann Davis Dunnam married Thomas Watson on 18 November 1817 in Baldwin County, Alabama.

Mifs Alabama Territory To any ordained Minister of the Gospel Judge of the Territory or Justice of the peace – you are hereby commanded to join in the Holy State of matrimony Thomas Watson with Mrs. Anne Dunnam and in so doing this shall be your Sufficient Authorization given under my hand this 18th November 1817.
