Samuel William Brock, Jr. was born 16 November 1935, a son of Samuel William and Bessie Pressley Brock. He married Betty Lee Meachum daughter of Eddie Meachum and  Wincey Lee Tarlton.

Samuel William Brock died on 7 August 1973 and was buried in Westfield Creek Baptist Church, Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
