The Heirs of Stephen P. Jackson

I have written many times about Land Deeds and what a valuable genealogical resource they can be in your research. If you are not using Land Deeds in your research you are definitely missing clues to your family lineage.

The Land Deed presented here today lists the surviving heirs of Stephen P. Jackson. Be mindful that there is a minimum of 4 Stephen P. Jacksons.

Stephen P. Jackson executing this Land Deed was married to Mary Jane Gibson. Stephen P. Jackson is the son of John Jackson and Effa/Effie [LNU], his wife.

Stephen and Mary had 6 known children; 4 sons and two daughters.

I have spent many hours in Land Deeds this week in SC, NC and Mississippi and the time has been very fulfilling. FamilySearch.org has many of the Sates Land deeds listed and available to research from your Desktop computer. North Carolina and some Counties in South Carolina have their Land Deeds on line. Land Deeds are readily available for research 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
