The Death of Barbara (Lipe) Dry

Barbara Lipe was born 16 November 1795, a daughter of Leonard Lipe and Barbara Wentz of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Shortly after her marriage to Daniel Dry, the couple migrated to Perry County, Illinois.

There, Daniel and Barbara raised a family of eight children in their twenty-one years of marriage. Her husband, Daniel died on 9 March 1836; but, Barbara lived until the age of 84, passing away in Perry County, Illinois. She was listed as passing away form apoplexy in February 1880 in the 1880 Mortality Schedule shown here:

Barbara (Lipe) Dry is buried beside her husband in the McElvain Cemetery, Du Quoin, Perry County, Illinois, Plot: Lot 73.
