It’s Family Time~The Thomas Lucas Teal Family

Thomas Lucas Teal, son of Duncan Teal and Louisa Ann Boatwright, was born on 26 Nov 1869 in Anson County, North Carolina. He was a farmer his entire life but was very active in local politics and serving his community.  He served as Magistrate for Courthouse Township and as tax collector.

Thomas Lucas Teal and Lucy Teresa Eddins were married in 1889. Lucy Teresa Eddins, daughter of Andrew Jackson Eddins and Dorothy Thurman, was born on 22 Feb 1869 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

Thomas Lucas Teal and Lucy Teresa Eddins had the following children:

i. Pauline Eddie Teal, born 31 Oct 1891, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Samuel J. White; died 10 Aug 1972, Monroe, Union, North Carolina.

ii. Ollie Dean Teal was born on 18 Aug 1894 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. She died on 3 Jan 1981 at the age of 86 in High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina, USA. 

iii. Thomas M. Teal, was born on 15 Jul 1895 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. He served in the military from 14 Sep 1944–11 Jun 1946 during World War II.

iv. Walter Lacoste "Doc" Teal, born 6 Jan 1896, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Ella Geneva Watson, Oct 1915; died 31 Dec 1959, Florence, Florence, South Carolina.

v. Lora Bell Teal was born on 25 Jun 1898 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.  She died on 22 Feb 1910 at the age of 11 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

vi. Earl Teal, born Aug 1899, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Florence Chavis.

vii. Alton Ray Teal, born 27 Dec 1904, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Carrie Melissa Lee Davis; died 4 Jan 1973, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

viii. Bernis Teal, born 2 May 1905, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Carrie Albennie Sellers, abt 1927; died 5 Jun 1943, Kannapolis, Cabarrus, North Carolina.

ix. Lucile Teal, born 1 Apr. 1909, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Joseph Benson Tice.

x. Juliette Teal, born 27 Jul 1912, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married George Herman Gray; died 23 Feb 2002, Wadesboro, Anson, North Carolina.

Lucy Teresa Eddins, died on 31 Jan 1927 at the age of 57 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

Thomas Lucas Teal, died on 8 Jul 1935 at the age of 65 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. He was buried on 9 Jul 1935 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic honors.

Thomas Lucas Teal, is my 2nd Cousin 3X Removed.
