Today’s posting is on child number 9 – Michael Davis, my 3rd Great Grandfather.
Michael Davis1 was born on 13 Mar 1806 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.2 3 4 5 He appeared in the census in 1840 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.6 He and his family are enumerated in census from 1850 to 1880 for Chesterfield County. 7 8 9 10 Michael died on 26 Apr 1883 at the age of 77 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.11 He was buried in the cemetery at Zoar United Methodist Church, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.12 A Memorial has been created for him at www.findagrave.com.13
Michael Davis and Hulda "Huldy" Rivers were married in 1832 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. Hulda "Huldy" Rivers, daughter of William Rivers and Elizabeth "Betsy" Rivers, was born on 13 Oct 1816 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.14 15 16 17 18 She died on 4 Jun 1881 at the age of 64 and was buried in in the cemetery at Zoar United Methodist Church, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.19 20 A Memorial has been created for Huldy at www.findagrave.com.21
