Sarah Elizabeth Brock, daughter of Valentine Brock and Elizabeth Lundy, was born on 26 Jan 1812 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.^{11 12 13 14} She died on 28 Jul 1894 at the age of 82 in Randolph County, Alabama.¹⁵ She was buried at Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama.^{16 17}

iv. James Lundy Brock Taylor, born 18 Apr 1842, Randolph County, Alabama; married Lucy G. Slay; died 10 Oct 1928, Randolph County, Alabama.
v. Eliza Ellen Taylor, born 12 May 1844, Randolph County, Alabama; married Martin Polk Pittman; died 30 Apr 1925, Randolph County, Alabama.
vi. Malachi Reeves Taylor was born about 1847 in Randolph County, Alabama. ¹⁸ He was born on 14 Dec 1850 in Randolph County, Alabama. ^{19 20} He died on 12 Mar 1923 at the age of 76 in Randolph, Randolph, Alabama.
vii. Martha Ann Lovicy "Mattie" Taylor, born 14 Dec 1850, Randolph County, Alabama; married George Bernard Hendon, 28 Nov 1895, Heard County, Georgia; married John Holder; died 16 Jun 1921, Randolph County, Alabama.
viii. Mary Ann Malissa "Molly" Taylor, born 14 Dec 1850, Randolph County, Alabama; married George M. Holder; died 25 Aug 1925, Randolph County, Alabama.

At the time of his death, Tillman owned a 248 acres farm, three miles north of Roanoke on High Pine Creek. Tillman Taylor’s farm was sold for division on  on Thursday, Dec. 17, 1896.

Sarah Elizabeth Brock Tilman is a distant cousin most likely 2nd cousin 4 times removed. 

Her parents are Valentine Brock and Elizabeth Lundy both born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. The question is whether she is a granddaughter or great granddaughter of Johan Valentine Brock, b. about 1723 in Oberhochstadt, Germany; died in Richmond County, North Carolina.
