Joseph M. Honeycutt was the son of David M. Honeycutt and and Edith Underwood of Stanly County, North Carolina. He was the oldest son and had 5 sisters and a brother.
Joe spent his life as a farmer and night watchman in the cotton mills. He was first married about 1880 to Eva Marie [LNU]. She passed away in 1913 and he next married Elizabeth Horne on 8 April 1914.
The 1910 Census shows that Joe and Eva Marie had 10 children of which 7 were still living.
As stated previously Eva Marie died in 1914 and Joe remarried. No children have been identified from the second marriage. Joe passed away on 21 February 1934 at the age of 77. Joe and Eva Marie are buried in the Tarlton Cemetery, Wadesboro, Anson County, North Carolina.
