Jno. N. Gardner to Rachael Burr Lien

State of South Carolina}
Chesterfield County}
                 Know all men by these presents That I Rachael Burr advanced to John N. Gardner for the present year in money the sum of One Hundred and three dollars & Fifty cents to carry on his farm in Chesterfield County and Sate aforesaid. The party of the second part
Binds himself to give and hereby gives unto the said Rachael Burr a lien on the whole of his cotton, corn, Peas, Potatoes & other crops to be raised the present year, as will satisfy the payment of the sum of One Hundred and three dollars a& Fifty cents in preference to all other liens existing or otherwise, in conformity to the Act of Assembly of said sate in such cases made and provided in order to secure the payment of the sum or sums of money so advanced by the said Rachael Burr, and acknowledges the advances so made as a debt without further proof and further agrees that all sums shall be paid by the 15th November next. This obligation to be void as soon as the terms of this agreement are complied with. In testimony whereof The parties hereto have hereunder set their hands in duplicate this 29th day of March 1872.
