It’s Family Time~The Family of Mary Frances (Page) Whitley

In the 1850 Census for Stanly County, we find Mary Frances Page, a daughter, age 8, in the household of Sion Page and his wife Nancy [LNU]. Also in the household are seven (7) siblings; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

On 30 October 1885, Sion Page wrote his Last Will and Testament.  His wife Nancy had passed away after the 1880 Census was enumerated and the only one of his 8 children mentioned within the Will was Mary Frances Page. She was unmarried when the Will was executed and at the time of her father's death.

On 13 December 1896, Mary Frances Page and Lindsey F. “Linzie” Whitley were married in Stanly County at the residence of E. P. Harrington, a Baptist Minster.

Lindsey F. “Linzie” Whitley  was a widow and was previously married to Leah Sarah Morgan. He as the son of Hezekiah Whitley and Millie Elizabeth “Mollie” Cagle.

I found no proof that Mary and Lindsey had any children from this union. Mary Frances (Page) Whitley died sometime between 26 April 1910 (1910 Census Date) and 31 Jan 1917 (Date of Lindsey Whitley death). If anyone has a Birth and/or Death date for Mary Frances (Page) Whitley,  would you please share it? I have no knowledge as to where Mary Frances Page Whitley is buried. The death certificate for Lindsey F. Whitley says he is buried in the County Home Cemetery. There is no known tombstone and FindAGrave information most likely came from death certificate.
