William Augusta Stanley was born 29 October 1880, a son of Chapman Stanley and Lois Steen. Julie Elizabeth Davis was born 3 May 1883, a daughter of George Richard Davis and Mary Ann Davis.
William Augusta Stanley and Julie Elizabeth Davis were married about 1903. It was a short marriage for the couple. It looks to be a tragic situation whereby Julie lost her life giving birth to their son, Paul Thomason Stanley, or with the birth of a sequent child that did not survive. However, Paul was born in 25 October 1904 and William Augustus Stanley was a widow by 1910. He and Paul was in the Chapman Stanley Family Home in 1910.
After the death of Julie Elizabeth Davis, William Augusta Stanley married Bertha Ophelia Coleman about 1917. William and Bertha has a rather large family of 11 daughters and 4 sons.
The only known child of William Augusta and Julie Elizabeth (Davis) Stanley is one son:
- Paul Thompson Stanley, born 25 October 1904; died 4 January 1966.
No death date, tombstone, obituary, death notice, Family Bible or any such source has been found for the death of Julie Elizabeth (Davis) Stanley.
William Augusta Stanley died 12 April 1945.

Cheraw, April 12-(Special) William Augustus Stanley, 64, died at his home near town early this morning after an illness of about two months.
Paul Thompson Stanley died 4 January 1966.
CHERAW -- Paul Thompson Stanley, 61, died Tuesday at the Cheraw Nursing Home. He was a son of the late William A. Stanley and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis Stanley and a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County.
Julie Elizabeth (Davis) Stanley is my 2nd Cousin 3 X Removed.
