PFC Jimmy E. Boan was a Vietnam Veteran; he is honored on Panel 5E, Row 70 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington.
JIMMY E. BOAN, age 20, was killed by hostile fire while serving in Vietnam on 24 February 1966. He had been serving in country since 16 Oct 1965. His body was returned home to Chesterfield. Jimmy’s funeral and burial took place on 7 March 1966 at Hopewell Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
JIMMY E. BOAN was the 2nd casualty of the Vietnam war from Chesterfield County, SC.
