Maude Purvis, daughter of John William Purvis and Nancy Elizabeth Wallace, was born 12 July 1904 in Morven, Anson, North Carolina. She was the 2nd born of five children. Her siblings were two brothers and two sisters.
At age 17, Maude Purvis married a young man named Lonnie Messenheimer Watts on 6 Jun 1922.
Lonnie Messenheimer Watts born 10 Dec 1904 in Morven, Anson, North Carolina was the son of Daniel J. Watts and Elizabeth Jane McLaurin.
Maude and Lonnie and had no children.
Maude Purvis Watts, age 58, died 18 Sep 1962 and was buried 20 Sep 1962 at Morven Cemetery, Morven, Anson, North Carolina.
Lonnie Messenheimer Watts, age 69, died 11 Feb 1974 and was buried 13 Feb 1974 at Morven Cemetery in Morven, Anson, North Carolina.
Maude Purvis Watts was my 1st cousin once removed.
