Margaret Keppel, daughter of Peter Keppel, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth Grobb, is my 4th Great Grand Aunt. Margaret Keppel married George Earnhart, born 9 June 1759. While I have not found a marriage date for them, I believe they were married before 1803.
The 1810 Census for Rowan County has 3 George Earnhart's; two Juniors and one Senior. The Organ Lutheran Church Records has a record of 5 children born to George Earnhart between 1803 and 1812 but none of the listings names a mother or wife of George Earnhart.
One these George Earnhart, was borne 9 June 1759, a son of Phillip Earnhart and Elizabeth, his wife. On-line trees show that he was married to Elizabeth Barbara Cauble and this marriage occurred before 1792. Their first borne was Margaret, borne 30 Jul. 1792; Baptized 11 Nov. 1792, a daughter of Geo. Earnhart with John Kalb sponsor.
Three George Earnhart’s and no Wives names makes it very difficult to tie the 3 George's to their respective families.
Two Land Deeds and a Revolutionary War pension shows me that George Earnhart married Margaret Keppel and moved their families with others to Bedford County, Tennessee about 1812.
In the below land deed, Peter Keppel, Sr., has passed away and his heirs-at-law are selling their individual share to their Brother, John Kapple.

George Earnhart and Margaret Keppel had a son named Daniel Earnhart. In George Arnhart to Daniel Arnhart_Deed_FF_49 & 50, George makes the following statement “George Arnhart of the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee of the one part and Daniel Arnhart his son of the county and State”
There is an Earnhart Family Bible that shows the Earnhart Family with 5 children. These same children have their birth and baptism recorded in the Organ Lutheran Church Records, 1774-1882.
Margaret Keppel Earnhart died after 1840 and George Earnhart died March 1850 of old age.
Caution: I know the George Earnhart married (I George Earenhart in wright of My Wife Margaret (Keppel). Since there are 3 George Earnhart it's possible that the son of Phillip Earnhart and Elizabeth, his wife is not the husband of Margaret Keppel. However, the other two are father-son and they are not Margaret's husband.
George and Margaret Earnhart are my 4th Great Grand Aunt and Uncle.
