Surname Saturday~Walter, 3 Wives and Eleven Children
Walter Joseph Johns Sr. was born on 2 Aug 1883. On his World War I Draft Registration Card Walter lists his birth date as 2 August 1878 in Bennettsville, Marlboro, South Carolina.1 The birth date recorded on this form is definitely a bogus date. His Father was unmarried in 1880 and his alleged Mother was single and only age 10 according to the 1880 Census. In the 1900 census his birth is recorded as August 1883; definitely a more accurate date.2
