It’s Family Time~Andrew J. Huneycutt & Mary Ann Kendrick

It's Family Time
Andrew Jackson Huneycutt, age 25 and Mary Ann Kendrick, age 27 were married on 27 June 1878 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Andrew was the son of Tobias A. Huneycutt and his wife Elizabeth Mariam ‘Mary Ann’ Crayton. Mary Ann Kendrick was the daughter of Joseph Kendrick.

Though unknown on 27 June 1878, this marriage would be short lived; producing only one child, Joseph Franklin Huneycutt, born 18 March 1879.

In late 1880, Mary Ann wrote her will and left her only possession, a city lot, in Trust to her Beloved Niece, Mary Elizabeth Kendrick.  In a application dated December 1881, the Trustee applied to the Court to take possession of the lot for the niece, Mary Elizabeth Kendrick, stating that Mary Ann Huneycutt was deceased.

The date of this documents shows that Mary Ann Kendrick Huneycutt died between 9 June 1880 (date 1880 census were enumerated) and December 1881 (date of Trustee Letters in Will Book).
Andrew Jackson Huneycutt remarried on 27 February 1884 to Sarah E. Graham. In June, Sarah E. Graham Huneycutt gave birth to a daughter,  Ethel L. born June 1884.

Sarah E. Huneycutt died on 28 September 1919; A. J. Huneycutt was the informant of the death certificate for his wife. (NC Death Certificate #20585). No death date has been found for Andrew Jackson Huneycutt.
