About 1837, Eliza Rivers and Thomas J. Graves were married; most likely in Chesterfield, SC. The parents of Thomas J. Graves are unknown. Mary Graves enumerated in the Chesterfield County, SC 1850 census is most likely related.
Thomas J. Graves passed away 15 October 1862 from pneumonia while serving in the Confederate Army at Winchester, Virginia.
Mollie Rivers Graves died on 29 Oct 1898 at the age of 75 and was buried in the Ferguson H. Smith Cemetery in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.

Note: The cemetery is inside that circle of trees. Cemetery is in bad condition. Only Ferguson Smith's CSA marker and Ann Powell Smith his wife's stone are not broken. All the rest are broken from years of being in a cow pasture.
