It’s Family Times~The Charles Lucius & Margaret Elizabeth Laudie Family

Charles Lucius Laudie, Sr.  was born 27 February 1859, a son of  Charles Lucius Laudie and Eleanor Smith.

Margaret Elizabeth Davis was born 28 March 1860, a daughter of Carroll Washington Davis and Mary B. Boatwright.

Charles Lucius and Margaret Elizabeth were married about June 1880. Charles Lucius was a Printer and worked for a Mr. G.D. Smith whose occupation was an Editor. Its almost certain that both Charles and Mr. Smith worked at the local newspaper in 1880. 

In 1901, Charles Lucius Laudie and his wife Margaret moved their family to Utah. In the 1910 census, the family is residing in Salt Lake City Ward 4, Salt Lake, Utah, on 4th Avenue. Then in 1913, Charles & Margaret moved again to Independence, Missouri.    

On 3 Dec 1932, tragedy struck the family and their headmaster, Charles Lucius Laudie was involved in a vehicle accident that resulted in his death.  

Charles Lucius Laudie and Margaret Elizabeth Davis had the following children:

 i. Mary Eleanor Laudie, born 24 May 1882, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Joseph Edward Mangum, 25 Dec 1898, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; died 3 Jun 1967, Clay, Missouri.

 ii. Charles Lucius Laudie, born 18 Jan 1886, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Fern Halliday, 2 Jul 1914, Salt Lake City,Utah; died 7 Dec 1968, Provo, Utah County, Utah.

 iii. Callie Lillie Laudie, born 12 Feb 1894, Goldsboro, Wayne, North Carolina; married Arthur Reginald Burton, 31 Dec 1913, Farmington, Davis, Utah; died 2 Oct 1957, Los Angeles County, California.

 iv. Andrew Blakely Laudie, born 6 Sep 1895, Charlotte, Mecklenburg, North Carolina; married Ada Erickson, 6 Jun 1916, Independence, Mo.; died 7 Nov 1984, Multnomah, Oregon.

 V. George Franklin Laudie was born on 12 Nov 1896 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg, North Carolina. He died on 24 May 1897 at the age of 0 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg, North Carolina. He was buried in The Chesterfield Cemetery. 

Margaret Elizabeth Davis is my 2nd Cousin 3X Removed.
