Mrs. Sally Privette, 78, Dies At Residence Monday Afternoon

 Sarah “Sallie” Sanders, wife of William M. Previtte died at her home Monday, 2 February 1948, in Ralls, Crosby County, Texas. She was born in Chesterfield County, SC on 24 May 1870, a daughter of Richard Sanders and Martha Poplin.  

About 1890, she married William M. Previtte, son of Thomas Kincheon Previtte and Sarah Jane Tucker.  William M. Previtte was born 15 Jul 1870 and died in Lubbock, Texas on 25 October 1955. They were the parents of seven children's; three sons and four daughters.  

Obituary Transcription:
Mrs. Sally Privette, 78, died at her home on Forty-fourth street near Tahoka highway at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon after an extended illness. She had lived in Lubbock 15 years. Funeral services were indefinite Monday night, said Bryan McDonald and Son Funeral home, where the body was taken. Mrs. Privette is survived by her husband, William Privette, three sons, H. H.. at South Carolina, S. K. of Lubbock, and William of Houston; two daughters, Miss Iva Privette of Lubbock and Mrs. May Tucker of Lorenzo: 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
