Henry Alexander Lee was borne on Monday, 4 March 1844, the 4th son of William Lee and his wife Martha Elizabeth Thomas.
Sarah Jane Brock was borne on Thursday, 16 June 1842, the 4th daughter of Squire H. Brock and his wife Rachel Parker.
The two families own farmland in the Brock’s Mill section of Chesterfield County.
Henry Alexander Lee served in the Civil War with the 8th SC Infantry and was a Prisoner of war at Point Lookout, Maryland where many of his fellow soldier died.
After the war, Henry Alexander Lee returned home and married Sarah Jane Brock, daughter of Squire and Rachel Brock. Henry and Sarah were married in 1866 based on birth of their 1st born Child on 8 June 1867. Also, Henry and Sarah reported in the 1900 Chesterfield County Population Census that they had been married 34 years, 2 children, 2 living.
Henry Alexander Lee and Sarah Jane Brock had the following children:
i. Robert Alexander Lee, born 8 Jun 1867, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Sarah Jane Crawford; died 8 Oct 1908, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.
ii. Thomas Augustus Lee was born on 9 Oct 1869 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; died 5 Sept. 1922 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.
On 25 November 1910, Sarah Jane (Brock) Lee passed away and was buried in the Zoar UMC Cemetery.
Henry Alexander Lee wrote his Last Will on 3 July 1911 leaving his entire estate to his surviving son, Thomas Augustus Lee. His oldest son, Robert Alexander Lee, had passed away on 8 October 1908 leaving a surviving wife, Sarah Jane, and 5 surviving grandchildren. No mention of his daughter-in-law and grandchildren were made within the Last Will and Testament.

I, Henry Lee, of the State and County aforesaid, realizing that in the Providence of God all men must die, and being of sound and disposing mind, do hereby declare and publish this to be my Last Will and Testament.
First, I desire that all my funeral expenses and just debts be first paid out of my estate.
Second, I will and bequeath all the real estate that I own in said County and state and all the interest or title to any real estate That I own in said County and State to my son, T. A. Lee in fee simple; the real estate mentioned being one acre of land deeded to me by S. W. Brock, being touched by lands of S. W. Brock, Frank Brock and others and the tract of land where I reside containing one-hundred acres more or less, being touched by lands of Frank Brock, J. A. Watson, Sam Brock and Luda Sellers.
Third, I will and give to my son T. A. Lee all the personal property of whatsoever description and bind for him to have and to hold as his own-that I own at my death.

Henry Alexander Lee died on 24 February 1912 and was buried beside his wife in the Zoar UMC Cemetery.
Sarah Jane (Brock) Lee is my 1st Cousin 4X Removed.
