Susana Sellers

Susana was born about 1837, the youngest child of Roland Sellers and Margaret Eddins. It’s quite possible that she was a twin to Sarah A. Sellers. Susanna remained single her entire life and spent that time with her Step-Mother Jane Baxter Sellers until Jane’s death after January of 1883.

In 1900, she is living with her brother Steven D. Sellers.

Susana Sellers passed away on 12 Feb. 1919 and was buried in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Susana Sellers is my 1st Cousin 4 times removed.

County of Chesterfield} I, William Moore a Minister of the Gospel, do hereby certify that on the 28^th day of December A D, 1842 in the County of Chesterfield, State of So. Carolina I joined in Marriage Rolen Sellers (now deceased) and Jane B. Sellers.

Rolen Sellers was born in 1794, a son of Philip and Mary Sellers. Roland first married Margaret Eddins. She died in 1841. Rolen then married Jane Baxter on 28 December 1842. This document came from her pension application for Rolen’s service in the War of 1812.
