OBITUARY: Wadesboro, N.C. - Mr. Albert Franklin Phillips, 77, died April 9, 2000, at his residence.
A native of Anson County, he was born April 3, 1923, the son of the late Reuben Thomas Phillips and Cora Blanche Deese. Mr. Phillips was a retired Air Force sergeant and was a member of the Wadesboro VFW. Graveside services were Tuesday, April 11, at Eastview Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Earl Bradshaw. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Phillips, Reuben T. Phillips Jr. and Edgar Phillips; and sisters, Ethel Watts and Francis Flack. Survivors include his wife, Mary Rebecca Phillips of the home; sons, Albert F. Phillips Jr. of Polkton and Thomas Matthew Phillips of Wadesboro; daughters, Ms. Mary Lee of Wadesboro, Mrs. Christine Morton of Wadesboro, and Mrs. Debra Porter of Atlanta, Ga.; and sisters, Mrs. Clara McLester of Polkton and Mrs. Todd Cooper of Rockingham. ReplyDeleteI am reading your blog, and your information is incorrect as was the obituary. Albert F. Phillips, Sr., and Mary Rebecca Phillips only had three children. They had two sons and one daughter. Chris Morton and Mary Lee are not Frank Phillips' biological or adopted children.
