Amanuensis Monday~Isham A. Wallace to A. W. Sellers

Amanuensis Monday is a genealogy blogging theme. It was started by John Newmark who writes the TransylvanianDutch blog.

His definition of Amanuensis is:

Amanuensis: A person employed to write what another dictates or to copy what has been written by another.
Today’s subject is a land deed between Isham A. Wallace and Andrew W. Sellers, 1879.1

Jesse Wallace was twice married; his first wife was Deliah Alsobrook and to this union were born a son, Isham Alonzo and a daughter Martha. Deliah died, date unknown.

Jesse Wallace next married Frances M. Sullivant sometime around 1828. Jesse and Frances had 5 children with one son passing away in August 1860. Jesse Wallace died 26 December 1844. Thus in 1879, only 4 children and surviving grandchildren of two deceased daughters remains as heir apparent to his surviving estate.

France M. (Sullivant) Wallace died 11 Feb 1880 according to on-line trees. The 1880 Mortality Schedule shows she died in February 1880.2

Frances Wallace

Andrew Washington Sellers, husband of Catherine Wallace, is my Great Grand Uncle.
