Treasure Chest Thursday~The Marriage of Valentine Brock and Nancy W. Vandigriff

Today’s treasure chest document is the marriage of Valentine Brock and Nancy W. Vandigriff.

Valentine Brock b. 2 Feb 1815 was the son of Valentine (bef 1775-bef 1830) Brock and Elizabeth Lundy (3 Feb. 1780-25 April 1850).

Nancy W. Vandigriff, b. 22 March 1817 was the daughter of John Vandigriff and Margaret Crockett.
Valentine Brock and his wife Elizabeth Lundy had migrated from Chesterfield County, SC to Henry County, Georgia. I believe this move took place after 1820. In 1820, Valentine and Elizabeth are still living in Chesterfield County.

1820 Census of the United States, Chesterfield, Chesterfield County, South Carolina, population schedule, Chesterfield, South Carolina, Page: 121; Line 19, Household of Valentine Brock; digital image, Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com : viewed 3 June 2016); citing National Archives Microfilm M 33_119.

Valentine Brock and Nancy W. Vandigriff were married  21 Jul 1836 in  Henry County, Georgia. Their marriage is documented on Page 171 of the Henry County Georgia's Marriage Book 1822-1837 shown here: Their marriage is recorded mid-page of page 171, the right panel below.
