Stewart County} This day personally appeared before me Daniel LEWIS, Peyton R. ATKINS an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said county and on his oath did say that he was personally acquainted with Phillip MAY and Susannah MAY and that Susannah MAY is the daughter of Thomas LEWIS of Anson County of North Carolina and that the said Phillip MAY did marry her in Stewart County, Tennessee. Sworn to and subscribed before me this 23rd day of November 1837.
