The document states that H. Brock died 12 June 1865 and is buried in the Point Lookout Confederate Cemetery.

Point Lookout originally had 3 cemeteries; two for Confederate soldiers and one for Union soldiers.  After the War, Union soldiers were moved to Arlington National Cemetery. In 1870, the Confederates soldiers were moved to a mass grave outside the Camp.

The interment site is marked by a 25-foot white marble obelisk. The State of Maryland erected this marble obelisk in 1876.
