It’s Family Time~Annie Jane Graves

Annie Jane Graves was the firstborn child of David W. Graves and Mary Ann Gulledge. She was born in November 1873 according to the 1900 Census for the Mary Ann Graves household,. Mary Ann was a widow in 1900; her husband David had passed away in November 1898.

The other birth date of 29 Oct 1867 is recorded on Annie Jane's South Carolina Death Certificate. Annie Jane could not have been born on this date because her mother Mary Gulledge is unmarried, living in her parents' household in 1870.

She is also listed as age 7 in the 1880 Census in David and Mary's household.

Annie Jane Graves never married. She was living in a semi-invalid home in Lee County, South Carolina when she passed away on 17 February 1958. Based on the 1873 birth year she was 84 years old at her passing.

Annie Jane Graves's death certificate says her body was returned to Chesterfield and she was buried in the Chesterfield Cemetery. Her grave is unmarked.

Annie Jane Graves is my second Great Grand Aunt.
