William Braddock "Dock" Sellers was born on 30 Dec 1828 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. He was the son of Roland Sellers and Margaret Eddins. He served in the military with the 6th Calvary during the Civil War, 1861 to 1865. Dock, as he was known, was captured on 10 December 1864 and released from Prison at the Pt. Lookout POW Camp on 19 June 1865 ten days after the War has ended, William Braddock married Mary Elizabeth Gaskins in 1847 as reported by the Couple in the 1900 Chesterfield County SC Census.
Mary Elizabeth Gaskins, daughter of Darling Monroe Gaskins and Mary Nelson, was born on 30 Dec 1828 in Flat Rock, Kershaw, South Carolina.
William Braddock Sellers and Mary Elizabeth Gaskins had the following children:

Allison Braddock Sellers, born 21 Mar 1861, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Ella Huntley, 1887, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Fannie Ratliff, 3 May 1930, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; died 27 Mar 1939, Mt. vii. Margaret "Peggy" Sellers, born 25 Feb 1865, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married James Franklin Rayfield; died 30 Jan 1944.
viii. Elizabeth Missouri "Lizzie" Sellers, born May 1867, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married James Franklin Gulledge; died btw 1900-1910.
William Braddock Sellers died in 1906 at the age of 78 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina,
Mary Elizabeth Gaskins Sellers died on 11 Aug 1914 at the age of 85 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. Both are buried at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
