Amanuensis Monday is a genealogy blogging theme. It was started by John Newmark who writes the TransylvanianDutch blog.

His definition of Amanuensis is:
Amanuensis: A person employed to write what another dictates or to copy what has been written by another.

David W. Graves married Mary Anne Gulledge abut 1872, Mary Ann was the daughter of Daniel Gulledge and Jane Henderson. about the same time Malcolm Decker married Catherine Gulledge, the sister of Mary Anne.
On the same day the above action took place, Catherine Decker “release unto the said David W. Graves all my third interest in one track of one hundred seven (107) acres of land more or less in Chesterfield County, situate on Bay branch and bounded on the North, West and the South by lands of M. G. TANH? and W. W. Knight, and on the East by Estate lands of Daniel Gulledge,…”2
These two transaction seems to be a consolidation of the 2/3 interested (Mary Ann & Catherine) in land formerly belonging to Daniel Gulledge and the selling of the consolidated parcel to Malcolm Decker.
David W. Graves is my 3rd Great Grandfather.
