Willie married Ruby Margrette Lee on 4 March 1939 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. Ruby was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Lee and Sarah Ellen Gulledge Lee.
To this union were born the following children:
i. Willie David Johns, born 20 Jul 1941, Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina; died 30 Jun 2000, Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina. Military Veteran.
ii. Vinson Lee Johns was born on 17 Jan 1944 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; died on 8 Apr 1949 at the age of 5 in Florence, Florence, South Carolina.
iii. Brenda Delores Johns, born 13 Aug 1946, Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina,; died 27 Nov 1996, Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina.

vi. Randy Neil Johns born on 25 Dec 1956 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; died on 17 Jun 1977 at the age of 20 in Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina.
Willie Benjamin served in World War II and was a Carpenter by trade.
Willie died on 19 Jul 1989 at the age of 70 in Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina. His loving wife Ruby, survived him another 14 years passing away at 89 on 29 August 2014. They are buried in the Westfield Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Willie Benjamin Johns and Ruby Margrette Lee are my maternal Uncle and Aunt.
